🎉🏃‍♂️ Milestone Monday🏃‍♂️🎉

On Saturday, 12 September, we celebrated a very special milestone for one of our regular participants and volunteers! 🥳

We celebrated Coenie’s 200th parkrun! What a big milestone! And yes, this will become an official milestone later this month, but we simply couldn’t wait to celebrate this big achievement with Coenie! 🎊

Coenie has completed 200 parkruns across 9 different locations, with 50 of those at our previous home, Kleinevalleij, where he became a regular face we all saw on Saturday mornings. He also became involved with our volunteering group and became a familiar face on the volunteer team.

We would like to thank Coenie for choosing Val du Charron parkrun to celebrate this big milestone with us. It was wonderful to celebrate this achievement with you.

Here’s to many more parkruns, many more Saturday mornings, and many more milestones! 🏃‍♂️🎉

Val du Charron parkrun Event #2 - 12 September 2026

Come rain or shine, we parkrun!

On Saturday, 111 participants braved the wind and the rain 🌧️ and finished our course. A big thank you to our 22 volunteers who made this another successful event!

We had visitors from all over. From as close to Paarl to as far as London, with so many in-between.

We celebrated a few milestones:
Volunteers doing their very first! We hope to welcome you back soon 🥳.
