Playball Celebrates 25 Years of Movement, Memories, and Multigenerational Magic
In 2026, Playball will celebrate an incredible milestone — 25 years of inspiring children through movement, confidence-building, and play. What began as a small passion has now grown into a legacy woven into the lives of families across the community.
Over the past two and a half decades, thousands of little ones have dribbled, kicked, caught, laughed, and learned on Amanda Burkett ’s Playball courts. And in a heartwarming full-circle moment, many of those original Playball kids — now grown adults in their late 20s and early 30s — are bringing their own children to experience the same programme they loved.
“It’s surreal and beautiful,” says Playball coach and franchise owner, Amanda. “I’m seeing children of children I once taught — that’s when you realise you’ve truly built something that lasts.”
The big 25-Year Celebration will roll out in 2026, and parents, past players, and Playball families can expect competitions, surprises, throwbacks, and a few secret plans that Playball Welkom and her team are keeping under wraps… for now.
