THIRD WAVE UPDATE:
After careful consideration, it is with a heavy heart that we have to announce that we have made the extremely tough call to cancel this year's Valley 2 Valley.
Please know that we have not taken this decision lightly, so close to event weekend. We have given the only other alternative, i.e. postponement, a deep and thorough analysis. In the circumstances and after taking account of all relevant factors, we don't believe that it is a feasible option. These factors include, but are not limited to:
1. venue availability;
2. risk of further postponements if the third wave continues deeper into the year;
3. negative impacts on other events with long standing positions in the calendar;
4. costs associated with securing future dates.
We have emailed all entrants and sponsors with more important information (including regarding refunds). Please check your inbox as soon as possible!
On a more personal note, I am gutted about having to cancel. This event means the world to me. But I truly believe it's the right decision. I'm sincerely thankful for all the support I've received so far from riders and sponsors, despite the personal challenges you are also weathering.
Stay well and take care of yourself. I hope that we will see each other again very soon.
