MEDIA STATEMENT

School of Excellence Football Academy

The School of Excellence Football Academy wishes to address and correct false narratives and misinformation currently being circulated regarding our number one goalkeeper, Puleng Mokomane, registered under MySAFA Number: OACNZ.

1. Registration and Transfer

Mr. Puleng Mokomane was signed by the School of Excellence Football Academy from Tsakane Man City after discussions between Coach Majeed Ferragamo and Coach Miessie Steward regarding the transfer of several players, including Puleng Mokomane, Germany, Thato, Simon, and others.

2. Eligibility and Participation

Puleng Mokomane was duly registered with the School of Excellence Football Academy for the 2025/26 season. The club received his official SAFA registration card through the relevant SAFA Regional Office.

Since his registration, Mr. Mokomane has represented the School of Excellence Football Academy in league fixtures, the Nedbank competition, and the Hlongwane Tournament throughout the season.

3. Disciplinary Record

The School of Excellence Football Academy can confirm that Mr. Puleng Mokomane has never attended a SAFA Disciplinary Committee hearing, has never been charged, and has never been found guilty of any disciplinary offence by any SAFA disciplinary structure or arbitration body.

Furthermore, he has never been suspended, expelled, or sanctioned by SAFA.

4. Player Status

Mr. Mokomane has not requested a clearance from the School of Excellence Football Academy and has not played for any other club during the 2025/26 season.

He remains a duly registered player of the School of Excellence Football Academy and is expected to continue with the club into the next season.

5. SAFA Registration Card

Attached is the official SAFA registration card of Mr. Puleng Mokomane, which may be presented as evidence in any official arbitration or disciplinary proceedings if required.

The School of Excellence Football Academy further trusts that the SAFA Regional Office will provide clarity regarding the technical issues surrounding the scanning and verification of the registration cards of Puleng Mokomane, Koketso, and other affected players.

We remain committed to transparency, integrity, and the protection of our players against misinformation and unfounded allegations.

I honestly don't know why a team uses players who are not registered with them to play against us.

Shawn is registered under the School of Excellence.
Reggie and Itu are both under Bela Bela Academy.

We were shocked to see the same players agree to play while they know the truth. Is it hate against us or a lack of football understanding?

Sporting FC lodged a complaint against us for scanning the card of our goalkeeper and the scanner on the captain's phone said Ops.

Yet the very same Sporting FC played Shawn who is still registered under the School of Excellence and against Tsakane and many other teams. We reported the matter to the SAFA office yet nothing has happened.

During our game, Sporting refused to show us the cards of all the substitutes including Reggie, and Itu who are registered and played for Bela Bela Academy.

We shall honour the DC hearing and attend, whatever the outcomes and we shall respect them. The whole of Bela Bela witnessed what we went through during that game and we shall accept any outcome.

The dispute of Bela Bela Academy might change many things if Bela Bela Academy wins the dispute. It is not over yet.

Yesterday Coach Sam Modise and Coach Majeed Ferragamo met and had a discussion. The fight is over and we focus on the way forward, for the love and appreciation of football.

The chairman of TK Man City FC is patiently waiting for the verdict.
