The closing date for online entries is 30 September
2022. The first 1000 online entries in the 42KM

IMPORTANT NOTICE

THE VAAL RIVER CITY MARATHON WILL UNFORTUNATELY NOT BE IN A POSITION TO HONOUR FRIDAYS DEADLINE IN ISSUING A FULL STATEMENT OF THE OCCURRANCES OF 1ST SEPTEMBER.

ALL RELEVANT ROLE PLAYERS HAVE NOT YET BEEN INTERVIEWED THEREFORE A FULL SUBSTANTIVE REPORT CANNOT BE ISSUED.

WE TAKE THE MATTER VERY SERIOUSLY AND WOULD AIM TO GIVE OUR PATRONS AS MUCH INFORMATION AS POSSIBLE WHEN THE REPORT IS ISSUED.

THE VAAL RIVER CITY MARATHONS WILL RELEASE A STATEMENT UPON THE FULL TECHNICAL REVIEW OF THE CAUSES AND THE HAPPENINGS THAT AFFECTED:

- DEVIATION FROM THE ROUTE (ONLY THE 42KM)
- LATE ENTRIES AND LATE REGISTRATIONS ON RACE MORNING
- T-SHIRT SIZES

THIS STATEMENT WILL BE SHARED WITH ALL PATRONS BY FRIDAY OF THIS WEEK.

THE RAND WATER VAAL RIVER CITY MARATHON IS AWARE OF THE SIZE DISCREPANCIES WITH THE T SHIRTS.

WE HAVE BEEN UTILISING THE SAME SUPPLIER AND SPONSOR FOR THE SHIRTS FROM THE INCEPTION OF THE MARATHON, BUT THIS YEAR THEY SEEM TO HAVE DROPPED THE BALL.

WE WILL REVERT WITH A SOLUTION.

IF YOU ORDERED A SHIRT PLEASE TAKE IT AS IT IS AT THE MOMENT.

APOLOGIES FOR THE INCONVENIENCE CAUSED.
