Led by Captain Johan Smith, we host monthly games, annual tours, and Club Champs—playing with grace, perseverance, and a passion for every course we conquer.

🏌️ Langslaners Invade — No Golfers Were Harmed (Mostly) 🏌️
What a day at the beautiful Maccauvlei Golf Course! The LangSlaners Golf Team descended on the fairways like they owned the place — and left it looking like they definitely did not.
The golf? Mostly great. The lost balls? Generously donated to the rough. Those big, sweeping fades? Let's call them "creative shot selection." Maccauvlei has water features — now it also has a small collection of Titleist and Srixon that belong to no one in particular. 🎱
The PGA scouts were apparently spotted in the area. They left early. No reason given.
🍼 Now, about THAT showdown...
The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the epic clash between the seasoned veterans — Major Meyer & Master Pit — and the fresh-faced new boys, the self-proclaimed future of Langslaners (who still need a permission slip to stay up past 9pm).
What happened out there? Well... what happened, happened. 👀
We'll just leave it at this: form is temporary, but class is permanent. Draw your own conclusions, babies. 🍼

Despite the divots, the drama, and the directional challenges off the tee, the boys had an absolute blast. The cold ones at the end were ice-cold and very, very well earned.
Maccauvlei — thank you for having us, for your patience, and for your groundskeeping team who will need a few extra days this week. 🙏⛳
The Langslaners always leave their mark. Today it was mostly divots.
And to our resident power couple — don't get too comfortable up on that pedestal. Humble pie is on the menu. 🥧

What a day at Parys Golf and Country Estate! 🌟
The LangSlaners Golf Team showed up and showed OUT! Between the point calculations, inside games and enough mental arithmetic to make your head spin — what a ride! 🏌️‍♂️
Some wins, some losses, some multiplications that were simply unbelievable... and a few who took the zero to a whole new level. You know who you are. 😅🎯
Special mention to our newest Langslaner, Riaan van Zyl who marked his debut with an egg..... leave it there🥚. Welcome to the madness, brother — we've all been there! 😂
Through it all, the true spirit of the game came out on top — great people, great laughs, and one absolutely immaculate course. 👏

🏌️ LangSlaners Golf Team INVADE PARYS! ⛳
Lock up your flagsticks and warn the wildlife — the Langslaners Golf Club is descending on Parys Golf and Country Estate, and the fairways will never be the same.
Parys has survived floods, droughts and rogue hippos. But a crew of golf's finest excuse-manufacturers and self-proclaimed scratch players who mysteriously shoot in the 90s when money's on the line? That's a new challenge entirely.
The format is interesting — and when golfers say "interesting," it means someone either read the rules wrong, or designed it so their particular brand of chaos has a fighting chance. Expect debate. Expect confusion. Expect genius.
On the line today:
👔 Shirts · 🧦 Socks · 😤 Pride
All three painful to lose. All three absolutely up for grabs.
The water hazards are ready. The fish are circling. Someone will blame the wind, the altitude, and Mercury in retrograde — sometimes all three on the same hole.
But when the dust settles and the scorecards have been creatively interpreted, it'll be the chirps, the laughter and the stories that matter most.
Let's go, . Parys is waiting. 🏆

The Langslaners have always known that Heron Banks Golf Course is a proper gem… and a proper test of golf! For us mere mortals, it’s a place where dreams of birdies quickly turn into creative storytelling about “unlucky bounces” and “interesting lies.” 😄
But then along comes the Sunshine Tour , and suddenly the pros make it look like a Sunday stroll. Fairways found, pins attacked, and not a ball in sight of the places we usually explore. Clearly, it’s not the course… it’s us!
A big shoutout to Robert Lance and the team at Heron Banks Golf Course for hosting a world-class tournament. You’ve done the course proud and shown it off in style.
The LangSlaners Golf Team will be watching closely (and taking notes… lots of notes). Here’s to many more tournaments coming to our home course—and maybe, just maybe, we’ll learn a trick or two! 🏌️‍♂️

The LangSlaners Golf Team teed it up for their first golf day… and what a day it turned out to be!

Heron Banks Golf Course hosted a full field of 108 players like it was just another casual Saturday—no pressure at all. Between chasing birdies that clearly had other plans, the odd eagle sighting, and a bit of lightning to keep things “exciting,” the day had everything… except maybe straight drives.

All jokes aside, everyone had a great time, and as the Langslaners, we’re seriously grateful to everyone who helped make the day happen—organisers, sponsors, players, and even the weather (for eventually behaving).

A few snaps from the prize giving—where the real competition clearly started.

The format was Better Ball Scramble Drive… which sounds technical, but mostly meant “hit it, find it, and hope your partner did better.” Some teams absolutely lit up the course, with a winning score of 52 on a count-out. Not bad for a day’s work!

With 11 prizes and 18 winners, there were plenty of smiles—some from pure skill, others from what we’ll politely call “well-timed luck.” A few magical shots were witnessed, and yes… a couple of those may or may not have been assisted by some very “enthusiastic” Canon drivers.

All in all, a cracking day on the course—good golf, great company, and just enough chaos to keep it interesting. ⛳
