The 2026/27 Turkana Gear Challenge is a year-long motorcycle adventure starting August 1, 2026. It consists of 4 themed chapters od 3 months.

How does the Turkana 4 Challenge work?

Do I have to do everything?

No.

That's the beauty of Turkana 4. You choose your own adventure.

Every three months we'll announce three themed challenges, like hidden history, quirky accommodation or micro adventures. You can do one, three or ten. Every successful entry gives you another chance in that quarter's prize draw.

The idea is simple. Instead of us telling you where to ride or drive, we're asking you to show the rest of the community the hidden gems you've discovered. Share the photos, tell the story, and inspire someone else's next adventure.

Alongside the quarterly challenges are our year-long challenges, including Lighthouse Tours, Dam Tours, Four Corners of South Africa, Road Trips and more. You have the entire year to complete these. Enter one, or enter them all. Each challenge has its own prizes, so completing one challenge puts you in the draw for that challenge.

The same applies to our Corporate Challenges. Test ride a Honda, visit a participating dealer, or complete one of the sponsor activities, and you'll be entered into that sponsor's prize draw.

There are no penalties for not doing everything.

Whether you have one free Saturday a month or you're planning a three-week expedition, Turkana 4 is designed to suit every budget, every schedule, every motorcycle and every 4x4.

Do as much or as little as you like.

Every story you share is another chance to win, and another destination for the community to discover.
