SHOCK CORD RESISTANCE & ROPE TENSION
The Stroke2max Ergometer uses a unique Shock Cord & Rope System which allow you to perfectly adjust the ergometer resistance and tensions to simulate your unique paddling style.
Every paddler is unique so this means each individual will need to set the resistance and tensions make the ergometer feel just perfect for you. Keeping that in mind, the Stroke2max Kayak Ergometer was never developed to replace paddling on the water but rather to allow the athlete to train all year round when the weather does not allow it, but also work and develop keys aspect of your paddling that is always possible.
Once you have adjusted the Shock Cord length to have the best possible paddling simulation you can now start playing around with different resistance and rope tensions.
Step one will be to plan your training session in advance so that you are able to set the right resistance and rope tensions for your intervals or training session.
Decide what your focus will be fore that specific training session, will you be working on improving your Endurance, Aerobic Power, Speed Endurance or increasing your Vo2-Max.
Now the important thing to remember is that a very slight increase in resistance & tension, 1 cm at a time, makes a big difference. If you are able to push your-self slightly more each time you will definitely improve.
The second most important thing to do is to concentrate on keeping the perfect paddling style although the session. If you are able to check your paddling technique in a mirror while paddling you will be able to see when your technique starts failing and immediately correct it. By doing this the Stroke2max Kayak Ergometer delivers a much more concentrated form of training that you will definitely feel the next day.
Now you can train anytime, in any weather, any sessions!
