Tomorrow, 13/06/2026 is arguably the greatest Ultra Marathon in the world. 21,000 athletes will start in Durban and run/walk/crawl, not always in that order, to get to the finish in Pietermaritzburg, 85km away. Completing this event is one of the biggest metaphors for life. You will encounter every possible human trait. Emotion, frustration, happiness, sadness, anger, elation and so much more.
When you reach the finish and receive your medal it all fades in the realisation what you have just achieved. Hence it being known as the greatest "Ultimate Race".
The start is one of the most spine tingling events I have ever experienced. An epic event!
