🚨 PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨

Scientists have confirmed that Terra Nova parkrun is turning 100 parkruns old this Saturday! 💯🎉

To celebrate this historic occasion, we will once again attempt the impossible:
✅ Wake up before the sun
✅ Pretend we're not tired
✅ Run, jog or walk 5km voluntarily
✅ Tell everyone afterwards, "It wasn't that bad!" 😅

This Saturday is our 100th parkrun, and we'd love to see as many smiling faces as possible. Whether you're a speedster, a stroller, a first-timer, or someone who only comes for the post-parkrun conversations, you're invited!

Terra Nova parkrun #99 – Event Report

What a glorious morning for Terra Nova parkrun #99!

The weather could not have been better. It wasn't too cold, it wasn't too hot – it was exactly what the doctor ordered for a perfect parkrun morning. The sun was out, spirits were high, and the smiles were plentiful.

Before the start, our resident wildlife committee was already hard at work. The ostrich family could be seen sunbathing next to the fence, clearly enjoying a lazy Saturday morning. Meanwhile, the zebra herd appeared deep in discussion, debating the logistics of a group skinny-dip in the dam. Thankfully, no zebras were spotted testing the water before the runners arrived!

A fantastic 74 parkrunners and walkers crossed the finish line this week, supported by an amazing team of 10 volunteers. A huge thank you to our Run Director, Dirkie, and volunteers Alex, Bernhard, Salome, Seyram, Ria, Natasha, Hennie, Sharon and Sophia for making the event possible.
