This little mermaid had her first lesson this past week. (What a treasure🥹) but what made this lesson one to remember was the fact that her parents understood the importance of water safety for their toddler.

They had her enrolled before they arrived in South Africa.

Making a move to our ocean town, they knew the importance of getting their baby water safe as soon as possible.

So, while still on the other side of the world in the UK,they got in touch and secured her spot.

Ballito and Salt Rock have an abundance of swim schools to choose from, go for a trial, try them out and get your tot water safe ASAP.

Toddlers on the move!

Baby and Tots classes are designed to be repetitive, the little ones know what's coming next and when they realise what they are capable of and how their body feels moving in the water - they take the leap. They try, they persevere and what a beautiful thing it is to watch!

If you're wondering when is the right time to start learning how to swim, the answer is now.

Term 3.

Children have little to no exposure to water this time of year, unless they attend weekly lessons at a heated facility. Taking a "break" from their learn to swim journey is not beneficial, now is the time to practice skills learnt until summer arrives and those skills can be perfected, during hot summer days at the pool or beach.

Sbani and I have so much fun. So much, you'd wonder how he learns anything. But here's the key - Tots and pre Primary learn BEST through play.
This little guy, in all his fun and games has mastered so much of his learn to swim journey, and he didnt even know it, he was having too much fun 😋
