A meeting was held on the 14th of May 2022 were a new Vhembe Basketball Association Committee was elected in Thohoyandou at the Old Parliament: Statistics Building (Department of Sports, Arts and Culture boardroom). The elected committee will be responsible for shaping, developing, organizing and promoting basketball in the Vhembe District working with the respective municipals, local clubs, schools and communities.
