It’s official, NFNF AR 2026 will happen!

After planning on opening entries 21 May - we needed to evaluate the state of the region as a result of the Breede River hitting records highs & damaging everything in its path.

More details to come later this week!

Thank you Merrell for supporting adventure racing in South Africa!!!

This father-and-son duo, Hein and Ross van Rooyen, raced our 60km Merrell Mammoth Woodridge Adventure Race and finished in an incredible second place!

We were truly in awe watching 10-year-old Ross take on the course with such determination and skill.

A huge shout-out to for sponsoring this young and upcoming adventure racer with a brand-new pair of shoes. We wish you many happy kilometres in your new Merrells, Ross!

You started capturing moments on Friday with registration and finished after prizegiving lunch time today.

You covered 3 events with Matthew and Kyle (25km, 60km and 150km) by your side. You climbed mountains, did some kloofing and stood in the rain for hours.

It requires a bit of magic to be everywhere on a 25km, 60km, 150km stretch starting at Saturday 4am and the last athletes crossing the finish at 5am Sunday.

You were at the finish and you were editing pictures in the early hours, so we can share these moments with our athletes and their families, today.
