Hi There, Mom’s and Dad’s! Having received many inquiries lately regarding swimming lessons, I thought it would be good to share some information regarding Guardian Baby and Toddler Swim Instruction. My main focus is on teaching babies and toddlers (aged 1 to 7) basic water safety and swimming techniques and I have a passion for working with disabled and special needs kids. I am SSI (Swim Schools International) qualified (with First Aid level 3 and Police clearance) but I mostly use Australian “Uswim” techniques for teaching. I play classical music in the background during lessons as I believe it creates a calming environment. I don’t believe in forcing a child to do something he or she is not ready for. I try to avoid crying in the water – I want children to have respect for the water, but also learn to love it, so I teach with that in mind. Swimming lessons are about more than just saving your child’s life – it’s also about learning new skills, building confidence and stimulating the brain on a deeper level so don’t delay, the earlier they start, the better! Are you worried about your toddler not being able to swim? Guardian Baby and Toddler Swim Instruction focus on teaching little ones (ages 6 months to 7 years) water safety, survival skills (including back float) and how to be comfortable in the water.
