JUNE BURPEE CHALLENGE 🔥

THE GOAL:
- Mental toughness & Pacing

This month’s challenge is all about staying calm under fatigue, finding your best sustainable pace, and learning to keep moving when things get uncomfortable.

THE TEST
⏱ EMOM x 12 Minutes
• 45 seconds max burpees over the bar
• 15 seconds rest
• Repeat for 12 rounds

SCORING
✅ Total reps accumulated across all 12 rounds
✅ Lateral burpees over the bar (not facing the bar)
✅ Track each round individually to see how well you maintain your pace

We’ll be testing this challenge twice during the month and practice it weekly using different formats:
📅 Baseline Test – 3 June
📅 Final Test – Week of 22 June

Hi everyone,

The 2026 CrossFit Open kicks off tomorrow night, Friday 27 February, and we’re looking forward to an incredible evening together.

📆 EVENT DETAILS:
▪️Doors open: 17:00
▪️Athlete briefing: 17:30
▪️First heat: 18:00

We will run heats of 4–6 athletes every 30 minutes, allowing time for preparation, performance, and transitions. Each athlete will be assigned a judge to ensure accurate scoring and movement standards.

We expect approximately 4 or more heats, depending on the workout, which will be released tonight at 22:00.

🤔 WHAT TO EXPECT:
▪️Designated competition floor with marked lanes
▪️Warm-up area for athletes
▪️Ample seating for supporters and spectators
▪️On-site Mexican food truck
▪️Cold beverages and coffee available at reception
▪️Official Open 2026 T-shirt printing stand
▪️Goodie bags for all participating athletes

This is more than just a workout, it’s a chance to come together as a community, compete, support one another, and celebrate the progress we’ve all made in our fitness journeys.

We encourage everyone to come through, whether you’re competing or cheering from the sidelines. Let’s make it a memorable start to the Open.
