*SOUTH AFRICAN NATIONAL FIELD ARCHERY CHAMPIONSHIP 2019*

Spent the last 3 days in Middleburg, attending this years Field Nationals.

Being my first ever field competition competing as a young adult (YAFFU) and my first field of 2019, I found myself struggling with the now even longer distances (max 80 yards)

An unfortunate bow breakage set me back on day 2 (hunter round) but thanks to my team mates ( Altus Aucump & Reuben Brent-Meek) and Hendré Skeepers, I was back on track and managed to come back today (animal round)

Received a gold medal in YAFFU & my national colors for 2018 as a junior! 🥇

Thank you to Magnum Archery & my team members for their unconditional support 24/7.

It comes with great excitement to announce that I will still be apart of the Magnum Team for 2019.I am extremely blessed...

It comes with great excitement to announce that I will still be apart of the Magnum Team for 2019.

I am extremely blessed to say that I have had the opportunity to be apart of this incredible team for 2 years now and going onto my 3rd consecutive year. 😱

So today was the big day. The day I participated in my first 720 (which was technically a 1440 👀😂). •

I personally didn’t have the best competition as I haven’t put as much work in as I should’ve but we all learn from our mistakes. 🙏🏼
Nonetheless it was an awesome day out at archery range. 🏹 I was privileged to shoot with one of SA’s best female archer’s, . Thank you for helping and guiding me through all the rules etc. I really appreciate it. ( & )

Yesterday was the first day of the WFAC 2018 here in Potchefstroom, South Africa 🇿🇦.

I shot the ‘Fish Eagle’ range. This range was quite long as we walked an estimated length of around 9km.

I shot a 522, which placed me 3rd in my category for the day.

Had a great training session at Elgro River Lodge yesterday.

The range wasn’t easy, had many angles and was extremely hot, with very little shade. We also walked over 8km throughout the days shoot.

I came off the range with a 533 which I am very pleased with after recently replacing a broken blade in practice just the other day.

The countdown for has officially begun and it’s starting to sink in how close it is.. The excitement is real 🤩
