Apart from organizing the Chokka Trail, Baviaans Camino, Baviaans Cycle Tour and the Pink Hill Karoo Cycling Holiday, we also organize a few sporting events every year.
New kid on the block is the inaugural Baviaans Mountain Marathon, taking place on Saturday 4 July 2026 from Doringkloof Boskamp, Baviaanskloof Camp Accommodation. This event will see a 10km, 21km and 42km. The route only covers private farmland, and we are extremely thankful for the farmers giving us permission to use their farms. Every time we go there to either scout, get footage or prep for the race, we are stunned realizing how hard it is to make a living in such harsh conditions. Evidence of from veld fires, signs of drought, to water damage caused by unexpected thunderstorms make you understand why farmers say they can only farm with God on their side. Extremely challenging and "aan die Genade uitgelewer."
A portion of your entry fee goes to each farmer as well as the local NG Kerk.
