In 2010 the school came under new management and in 2015 new ownership took place by Chantelle & Jannie Engelbrecht. Over the years our teachers have taught thousands of children from the Helderberg, Overberg, Boland and even visitors from all over South Africa and the rest of the world to swim.
•Classes - Our classes are 20 minutes with maximum 4 children per class. Twice a week, Mon/Wed or Tue/
Thu.
•Effective - Our teaching methods have been developed over 25 years to give value for money.
•Personal Attention - Our teachers are in the water and we concentrate on small classes.
•Child Centered - We believe that learning to swim should at all times be a pleasant experience. We do not practice forced submersion or other traumatic methods.
•Facility - Our pools are covered and specifically designed for swimming lessons. Our water is kept at a temperature of ±32 degrees, which means children are comfortable and can concentrate on the lesson.
•Technically correct - We stay up to date with the latest competitive techniques and FINA rules. BABY SWIMMING - For children from the age of 9 months. These classes are aimed at getting the child to respect the water, getting comfortable with and in the water. Introducing basic water safety and movement skills. WATER ORIENTATION - For children from the age of 18 months. Lessons are aimed at teaching children basic water safety and movement skills, progressing to breath control and submerging with confidence. Most children master these skills in a few lessons and continue with the learn to swim program for the rest of the course but some children (those who are scared or have had a previous bad experience) may require a full course. LEARN TO SWIM - For children from the age of 3 who have mastered breath control and are submerging with confidence. Lessons are aimed at getting children pool safe as soon as possible while teaching them the basics of crawl and backstroke. TECHNIQUE/STROKE CORRECTION CLASSES - These are given from beginner to advanced levels and concentrate on teaching the correct technique for the four competitive strokes as well as the correct starts, finishes, turns and medley turns.
