Helderberg Titans Swimming Academy This program will help to bridge the transition phase between swimming lessons and competitive training. QUALITY over QUANTITY!

Helderberg Titans Swimming Academy offers an invitational program to swimmers who have reached the next level of competency in their Stroke Development program. We identified the need for a program whereby children can swim with Helderberg Titans Swimming Academy weekly for speed and stamina and still do lessons with Aquatechniques to continue working on their technique. This program is geared for

swimmers who are of the age where it is important to start doing more stamina work but do not yet have all the technical skills needed to succeed in competitive training. It also caters for swimmers who are technically competent but are still nervous about the prospect of a permanent move to the squad. The squad sessions will not only consist of distance and speed training but will also include land work, screenings and test sets. Advanced swimmers will also be introduced to goal setting and year planning. At a later stage sport psychology screenings and kinetic tests will also be introduced. The club will not only provide qualified coaches, but also an array of technical advisers. We as coaches strongly believe that this transitioning phase is very important and key for future long term development in successful swimmers.
