Get involved!! Log your dives at eSharks.

The eShark Project is an international database collecting information on shark populations worldwide for the IUCN, conservation groups and governments. It also collects information on other marine species such as marine mammals, turtles, seahorses, jelly fish. It is also a way of recording marine debris and pollution.

Data is collected by divers, snorkelers, beach walkers and even paddle boarders. Almost anyone can help collect information.
The data collected is used to compile information about shark population increases, decreases, assess the need for shark sanctuaries and implement laws and guidelines for governments.

You can enter observations directly to the eShark database at www.eoceans.org or you can also download log sheets from the Shark Guardian website (https://www.sharkguardian.org/) to keep track of observations on dive or snorkel boats. These can be emailed to Shark Guardian to be transferred to the eShark database.

NO SHARK observations and HISTORICAL observations is vital for the data – check your log books!

Please take this survey. Your response is important!
