RELAY RULES: This kids’ athletics program must accommodate field events. So we decided to include shot put, javelin, hurdles, and long jump. This will be done on a 1km course (Realy).On the first lap, each team is required to have a shot put athlete, hurdler, jumper, and javelin athlete at the 500m point. Runners will run the first 500m and stop at the 500m mark for their partners to jump or throw a set distance, and for hurdlers to run over hurdles for a set distance. If all the athletes pass the test, the run can continue after that. This will apply to every lap of the relay.Let’s have fun! Mean to have a team you need 4 runners and 1 athlete for shot put, 1 athlete for javelin, 1 athlete for hurdles and 1 athlete for long jump. Gender doesn't matter for athletes who will be at 500m point.
