1. What first motivated you to join the gym, and what kept you coming back?
To be completely honest, I saw Talita in Spar and told my dad that I wanted to look just like her. We noticed she was wearing a CrossFit Forged shirt, so we decided to check the gym out. Nikka’s friendly face immediately made me feel comfortable and excited for my first workout. I kept coming back because I started seeing progress and realized how much better I felt mentally and physically after training.
2. How has your fitness journey changed your life outside the gym?
It has helped me become more disciplined, confident, and motivated in other areas of my life too. The gym has also become a great stress outlet and has improved my mindset overall.
3. What’s been your toughest workout or challenge so far, and how did you push through it?
Definitely workouts with skills that I haven’t mastered yet. Watching other athletes RX workouts while I still struggle with some scaled movements can be difficult, but it motivates me to keep improving and remind myself that everyone starts somewhere.
4. What goals are you currently working toward?
Right now, I’m working on becoming stronger, improving my overall fitness, and mastering skills that I still struggle with.
5. What advice would you give to someone who’s just starting out?
Don’t compare yourself to anyone else. Progress takes time, and the athletes you look up to were once beginners too. Just focus on improving one step at a time.
6. How do you stay consistent on days when you don’t feel motivated?
I try to rely more on discipline than motivation. Even on difficult days, I remind myself that I always feel better after a workout, and the support from the people around me makes it easier to push through.
7. What’s your favorite workout or movement, and why?
Heavy day, for sure. I love hitting new PBs or beating old ones and seeing how much stronger I’ve become. And it NEVER involves running 😭
