PRIZE-GIVING – SAINTS WATER POLO SENIOR INVITATIONAL 2025

Our Saints Water Polo Invitational Senior event has come to an end. It was an awesome celebration of water polo action. There were many tightly contested games, resulting in an inspiring spectacle. We congratulate who participated. Special congratulations to Bishops Diocesan College team for winning the boys’ section and St Stithians Girls' College And Prep for winning gold in the girls’ section.

As the excitement of the Saints Water Polo Invitational settles, we take a moment to honour the incredible people behind the scenes – the Organising Committee and our dedicated Saints staff – whose commitment and teamwork made this event an unforgettable success.

A heartfelt thank you to our Co-Chairs, Sue-Anne Stander and Jason Sileno, and our Co-Tournament Directors, Bruno Fernandes and Megan Sileno, whose leadership, vision, and tireless effort have been the driving force behind this event. Your guidance and passion have brought the Invitational to life in the most remarkable way.

BEHIND THE WHISTLE: CELEBRATING OUR OFFICIALS

The excitement in the pool is just one part of the Saints Water Polo Invitational. Equally important are the people keeping the games fair and flowing - our dedicated referees.

A big thank you to our poolside referees, including the experienced Old Stithians whose knowledge keeps the games on track. We are also pleased to acknowledge our 11 neutral referees, traveling from the Western Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, and locally in Gauteng, who step in to support matches beyond their own teams.

Our sincere gratitude to Lift Airlines for the discounted flights for our travelling referees.

And a special mention to CIB for keeping our officials sun-safe and looking sharp with their referee shirts - small details that make a big difference on the pool deck.
