🐍 POTIONS LAB 🐍
Valenteena will teach you how to bewitch the mind and ensnare the senses! She will show you how to bottle pure, clean technique and brew fluidity, sharp isolations, and mind-blowing layering ... Which potion will we create today? We must select the right ingredients for every potion, combine them, boil them, and add some final magic drops! This workshop is suitable for all levels.

What an honor to welcome our new teacher to the team, Marina Ferreira is not only a oriental dancer, but an amazing writer. She is following the Raqs Unite syllabus. Since the Lockdown edition for World Belly Dance Day, she has been part of our academy and she first had online classes when she stayed in Rustenburg, now in Pretoria.

Thank you for your love for our art, we are eager to see your flair in our academy ❤️

Kaelan Britz danced previously at our studio and returned two years ago she joined the performing troupe. She was the storyteller in the class and you always laughed at all the episodes. She has been a dancer since a very young age and won multiple other dance awards.

She was the second entry to TITLE ADULT MISS BELLY DANCE SA,
very tough competition, but she danced very well. We apreciate her time and effort as she had an accident with a coccyx injury and stepped out of dancing. This was her last performance as a dancer with Oriental Raqs Academy, and we wish her a speedy recovery.

Nadia Venter was our first entry in TITLE ADULT MISS BELLY DANCE SA. She has been dancing since a very young age. There is always a soft gentle approach in her dance ads she does well in the more classic dances. Mom Leonie can be proud of her daughter!

This category had a lot of entries and the dancers were amazing! Early in the competition, you could see this was going to be tuff on the judges as all dancers danced well. Altho Nadia did not place, she gave a brilliant performance.

This was Nadia's last performance as a member of Oriental Raqs Academy, as her fulltime career and new family engagement require a lot more time and devotion. We would like to thank her for her time and efforts. It was fun having you in the performing troupe. We wish you well in preparation for your wedding!

Kiara Casquinha, our first entry for TITLE TEEN MISS BELLY DANCE SA, the competition was tough and the younger 3 girls were on par, each contestant in this category was beautiful and the winners really earned that crown. Kiara has not been dancing for so long but she is so eager to learn and if we bare in mind her solo choreography was finished last, a month before the competition, I think she did amazing on stage!

We are proud to have her in our school and can not wait to see her next solo.

We are so proud of Gabriella, our Gold medal winner of the INDIVIDUAL TEEN RISING STAR CATEGORY at the Miss Belly Dance SA competition 2023.

This was the first time Gabriella got onto a stage to do a solo. She has been dancing with us for the past 3 years and we are looking forward to see how she develop and do mere solo's.

She is a shy but very friendly student in class, her class mate enjoy her jokes and it is beautifull to see how these young ladies develop into strong young adults.
