Cycling has been ingrained in Henry since the age of 15 when he competed in his first race on a Mountain Lion 10spd rigid fork MTB. It was the start of a passion for bicycles that has extended far beyond simply racing. Stripping, building and servicing his own bikes were common for him. A good platform to start at in a bicycle shop, Henry has gained over 10 years’ worth of mechanical experience, b

uilding some rare high end, and at times unimaginable customized bikes for clients. Not content with only the mechanical side of bicycles and cycling, Henry also broadened his cycling expertise and knowledge with over 7 years of bicycle fit experience, having received training in the various fit systems such as ErgoFit, CycleFit, and BG Fit. All this expertise and a desire to bring a unique high-end experience has resulted in the Elite Bicycle Workshop. You’ve heard of the phrase,’ Jack of all trades, master of none’. Well this phrase doesn’t apply to Henry Uys who is considered a master of the ‘cycling trade’.
