Riversdal skop seisoen af met 'n oortuigende 7 paaltjie oorwinning teen Heidelberg op Saterdag 4 Desember. Byron Carl Esau (6.4 overs, 5 paaltjies vir 23 lopies) en Cheslan Clarke Cloete (6 overs, 3 paaltjies vir 11 lopies) was Riversdal se beste boulers. Marchello Wessels (14 van 26 b***e*) en Byron Esau (17 van 11 b***e*) het die wen lopies in die 8ste boulbeurt aangeteken om te verseker dat Riversdal die Leonard Hurling wisseltrofee suksesvol verdedig. Riversdal se volgende wedstryd is Saterdag 11 Desember 2021 op Riverville.

APPROVAL TO RETURN TO TRAIN AND PLAY UNDER ADJUSTED LEVEL 2 LOCKDOWN:
RIVERSDALE CRICKET CLUB

Approval is hereby granted to RIVERSDALE CRICKET CLUB based in RIVERSDALE, by the South Western Districts Cricket Board in terms of the Adjusted Alert Level 2 regulations ( Gazette 44895 of 12 September 2021), to commence with return to train and play, in terms of the approved guidelines and strict medical protocols as required by the CSA – AMATEUR CRICKET UNDER LEVEL 2 GUIDELINES.

These measures will remain in place until declared otherwise by the Minister of Sport & Culture and, Regulations and Directions as amended, issued under the Disaster Management Act 57 of 2002 and as approved and guided by Cricket South Africa and the South Western Districts Cricket Board.

This approval is granted subject to the exoneration and indemnification of Cricket South Africa and the South Western Districts Cricket Board against all possible injury and COVID-19 related claims that may arise from RIVERSDALE CRICKET CLUB use of the RIVERVILLE Sport Venue in RIVERSDALE whilst returning to train and play.

SWD CRICKET: SUSPENSION OF ALL TRAINING ACTIVITIES AT CLUB LEVEL
Due to the significant rise in positive Covid-19 cases in the Garden Route area and the subsequent declaration of the area as a Covid-19 hotspot by the Premier of the Western Cape, Mr Alan Winde, the impact on cricket activities was tabled at a meeting of the SWDC Cricket Committee that was held on 19 November 2020. In accordance with the Terms of Reference of the SWDC Cricket Committee, who oversee all local league activities in the province, the committee has identified the on-going of training programs at club levels as a high risk activity in spreading the virus based on the following:
a) The area is flagged as a Covid hotspot
b) Municipalities such as Mossel Bay and Bitou (that includes Plettenberg Bay and Knysna) has already suspend all training activities at their facilities
and therefore, deemed it advisable to recommend the suspension of all training facilities at club level. The Board of Directors of SWD Cricket has endorsed this recommendation which was approved by the steering Committee of Cricket South Africa. Kindly therefore note that all training activities at club level in the SWD is suspended with immediate effect under further notice.
