The Siya Nzima Schools Tournament committee and KwaMbonambi Pastors Fraternal officially conducted its championship a prayerful school visit to Ntongande High School, honoring them ahead of the upcoming multi-sport tournament. As part of the promotional activities building up to the 2026 Siya Nzima Schools Tournament scheduled for 30 May 2026, the visit celebrated Ntongande's historical status in the region and recognized their sporting excellence. Tournament Theme: "Sports Against Crime" The main objective of today’s visit was to acknowledge and draw inspiration from Ntongande High School, whose sporting departments achieved unmatched milestones over the previous year. Ntongande High School shocked the country by rising from the zonal level in Richards Bay to be crowned the 2025 U16 South African Schools Netball National Champions. As a core participant in the 2025 Siya Nzima Tournament circuit, Ntongande’s presence today set a benchmark of discipline and victory for the schools entering the new edition. Mr. Siya Nzima highlighted Ntongande's success as a no-fee public school, proving that local talent can dominate both regional and national stages despite financial barriers. The tournament organizers hosted a brief interactive session with the school's netball and soccer divisions. Student-athletes shared their preparation strategies, showcasing the high spirit and readiness within the teams, In alignment with the tournament's core theme, the Siya Nzima delivered a crucial address focused on social cohesion, youth development, and utilizing athletic competition as a constructive alternative to community crime and school safety issues and officially briefed the school's administration, coaches, and athletes on the structural format of the upcoming tournament. Ntongande High School was highlighted as one of the elite 8 confirmed schoolsslated to battle on May 30th. The visit concluded with the formal introduction of the competitive field that Ntongande High School will face this weekend. The confirmed roster of competing institutions includes:

The tournament will feature multiple sport codes—including soccer, netball, chess, Basketball and volleyball—acting as a major scouting platform for local talent in KwaZulu-Natal, King Cetshwayo District
