Propulsion in swimming for beginners.

Propulsion in swimming starts with kicking. Use a floating device i.e. a Kicker-board. The most important thing about kicking in the water, is to keep your legs straight and to kick from your hips. You want to allow for some natural bend in your knee as you kick. But keep your legs as straight as possible and use your hips and core to generate motion. By doing this you are minimising drag and since your legs get get tired faster than your core, you are effectively being more efficient and conserving energy. Try also to point your toes so that you minimise the drag with each kick.

You don’t want to be tense when you’re swimming. Ideally, you should relax your muscles while maintaining good control over your body. Keep everything in line, but not so tightly that you lose flexibility or your natural motion. ENJOY MOVING THROUGH THE WATER🏊‍♀️🐳

Teaching someone to swim
Is noble. Swimming is fun and provides health benefits for young and not so young. Swimming keeps your children’s heart and lungs healthy. It is recommended for Asthmatics. It improves strength and flexibility and increase stamina, balance and posture.
