Diggers Junior Rugby

Diggers Junior Rugby Diggers Rugby Club is an affiliated Golden Lions Rugby Union club & PBO with certified coaches focused on training and developing the future stars of rugby.

The Junior Section of the club is where the future of the club comes from. Barefoot section: U6 - U13
Boots Section: U14 - U18
We have a strong JNR section, so Diggers Rugby Club's future looks bright!! Our coaches are all Boksmart certified and have also attained a mixture of IRB Level 1 and IRB Level 2 Coaching certifications. Pre-Season Practice Dates (Feb โ€“ May):
Saturdays 08:30 โ€“ 10:00

ason Practice Dates (June โ€“ October):
Tuesdays & Thursdays 17:30 โ€“ 19:00
Matches are played every Saturday.

On Saturday our U8 Teams got to feel like real Lions players when they took the field to play in a TAG rugby curtain raiser at Ellis Park Stadium ahead of the FSD Lions vs Connacht Vodacom URC match.

The energy, excitement and spirit were felt by everyone. And they got to stay and support the home team in their win!

A big thank you to .lions.youth.rugby & for this very special opportunity. It is a day our players will never forget.
