History of South African Beach Volleyball

History of South African Beach Volleyball After investigations, we found no history of beach volleyball in RSA so this is an attempt to re-create the records in the form of a photo diary. THANKS!

1989 - South Africa's beach volleyball organisation NOVASA (National Outdoor Volleyball Association of South Africa) appointed the first ever chairman of beach volleyball, Mr Chris Edwards.

I have just added a few people as administrators to this page to hopefully assist in filling in the massive gaps in the history of beach volleyball in RSA. My original goal was to have a sort of picture time-line, which requires as many photo's being uploaded as possible. I hope you can assist. Thanks.

Hey people, please add comments to each picture and tag people. I don't know the details of all of the pictures and tournaments. I also just uploaded all the photo's as I believe the true history of SA Beach volleyball is not just about the volleyball but also the people, parties and the lifestyle. If anyone wants a higher resolution photo, just message me with an email and a copy of the photo that you would like and I'll send it to you.
