I’d like to get ahead of this before the masses start chipping in on social media….

I was sent this today by a friend and instructor. This video is exactly why I am so picky about people on the range, range safety and reputable instructors.

What we know :

- I wasn’t consulted before hand about this “event” taking place at my shooting range. So much for professional courtesy….
- If you are going to advertise such an event, with my shooting range’s name on your flyer, ASK FIRST!
- Neither myself, Magnum United Shooting Range or Tactical Defence Institute condone what you see in the video.
- We are in NO way affiliated with any of the listed companies on the flyer, and once again, we weren’t consulted about this.

I can say a lot more about the video, but that isn’t the purpose of the post.

As an instructor, I can tell you for free, that if I paid for an “instructor “ to tell me “hang yourself” and manhandle me, there will be consequences. Instructors are there to instruct, teach, pass information and equip students with tools. Not be belittled and manhandled.

Lastly, don’t be an as***le on the range. There are many other ranges for people to be cavalier on, Magnum is not one of them.

For everyone who has been asking about Goose, thank you for all your enquiries. He is still at Valley Farm.

- He’s not yet walking.
- His catheter is out.
- He’s on antibiotics.
- He’s doing his physio.
- We don’t know when he’ll be out and about in all your shops, at the range and ultimately back at home.

We appreciate all the support and well wishes, the prayers and words of encouragement. We will keep everyone posted.

Hi everyone,

For those who know him, you’ll know that Goose isn’t just a dog. He is everyone's favourite Range Manager, and much-loved member of the family.

Recently, Goose underwent a major and very scary back operation. We thought the hardest part was behind us. Sadly, we were wrong.

Goose has developed a serious infection and now needs urgent, specialised veterinary care, followed by a long road of rehabilitation and recovery.

Mom and Dad were prepared for his original surgery, but this unexpected complication has brought significant additional costs at a time when all we want to focus on is getting Goose better.

We don’t take this request lightly, but we’re asking for help because we simply can’t do this part alone.

Every donation, no matter the size, will make a huge difference in bringing Goose one step closer to standing, walking and eventually running again.

And because Goose has always been such a good boy, any funds raised beyond his medical and rehabilitation costs will be paid forward to another animal in need.

Thank you so much for your love, support, and kind messages up to this point. It means more to us than we can put into words.❤️

One of our club members and fellow sport shooters, Pieter De Nysschen, has started doing some training.

To start with, and to help grow the sport, club and province, he’ll be putting on an Introduction To Sport Shooting. For those who are maybe sitting on the fence, with regards to starting their sport shooting journey.

Would have loved to be able to share your 66th birthday with you today.

Though I talk to you every day, your voice gets more faint with each passing day, however, the breadcrumbs you left behind in all the people you blessed over the years, remind me how privilaged I was to have you for the short time you were here.

With huge thanks to my business banker, FNB sent me a new card machine within 2 hours of my phone call to them. From tomorrow morning we will be able to accept card payments again.

A lot of people have now been affected by Yoko’s unreasonable actions. So, go woke, go broke.
