What a challenging weekend… not just for me, but for my entire team.
Friday started with minor mechanical issues that quickly turned into something we couldn’t fully figure out, even after hours of trying. We pushed through into qualifying hoping for the best.
Saturday morning, my mechanics came through early, fixed what we thought was the issue, and we were ready to race… or so we thought.
Right on the grid, the car died. No start. No response. Nothing.
We tried everything, jump starts and push starts but it just wouldn’t move. I had to watch the first race from the sidelines.
While all of that was happening, my team stripped the car down and found the real problem: a dead starter motor.
With insane urgency, my mechanic rushed to get a replacement and made it back just 10 minutes before the second race.
We started P19… and fought our way up to P12.
Not the weekend we planned, but definitely one that reminded me what resilience, teamwork, and heart look like.
thank you for going above and beyond, this one was for all of us. ❤️🏁
