π₯ THE BOWLER AND COURAGE π₯
Courage in lawn bowls doesnβt always arrive with a massive drive and bowls flying everywhere. π₯π
Sometimes courage is much quieter.
π― Itβs playing the draw when every part of you is terrified of being short.
πͺ Itβs trusting your backhand again after missing it twice.
π§ Itβs standing on the mat, shutting out the doubt and committing fully to the shot.
π₯ And sometimesβ¦ itβs choosing the bowl you KNOW you should play instead of the one that simply feels safer.
Because courage isnβt about being fearless.
Itβs about still playing your bowl while the doubt is there.
Every bowler knows that momentβ¦
You step onto the mat.
You know the shot.
You know the line.
And then that little voice starts:
"Maybe play safe..." ππ
But sometimes the bowl that changes the end β or even the game β begins with one decision:
TRUST IT. COMMIT. LET IT GO. π’π₯
π BOWLERS, TELL ME:
What shot takes the MOST courage for you under pressure β draw, drive, backhand, forehand or weight through the head?
π Same green. Braver thinking. Bolder choices. Stronger bowls.
