The interesting thing for me is that this was more-or-less the original view I was photographing to begin with, long before I knew I would balance here, let alone specifically where to root the balance.. and it took me until the day after balancing this to realize this view actually worked with the balance too.. Further evidence that my body is tapped into something my conscious mind is not.. 🤷🏼‍♂️🧙🏼‍♂️

But anyway, I like this view best, as it best highlights the beauty of these ruins, just when I felt there would be no aesthetically pleasing view to integrate both subjects seamlessly.. and I reckon it’s no coincidence the way the orientation of the top matches the green space at the other end, “like a glove”

Also, I’ve been eyeing the pine cones for weeks in a variety of locations, and ultra satisfied to finally bake them into this equation, particularly in a way that made them integral to the overall composition.. while providing a subtle but intuitive barrier around this balance that helped protect it from other humans and dogs for 2 days!
