We are the Titans Deaf Cricket team based in Pretoria, South Africa and are affiliated to the Northerns Cricket Union. It is our aim to provide the opportunity for every Deaf person to participate in cricket and represent the province at National Deaf Cricket tournaments. It is with deep sadness that we say farewell to a true stalwart of Deaf cricket, Coenraad van der Berg.

Coenraad was far more than a member of the Titans Deaf Cricket family. He was a true stalwart of Deaf cricket, a teammate, a friend and someone who gave so much of himself to the game and the community he loved.

Through his involvement with Titans Deaf Cricket and South Africa Deaf Cricket, Coenraad made a lasting contribution to the sport. His commitment, passion and love for cricket touched many lives, both on and off the field.

Coenraad's name is forever etched into the history of Titans Deaf Cricket, South Africa Deaf Cricket and the wider Deaf cricket community.

But beyond the cricket, we will remember the person. The friendships. The laughter. The moments shared as a team. The journeys, the matches, the celebrations and all those memories that can never be replaced.

Coenraad, thank you for every memory. Thank you for your dedication. Thank you for everything you gave to Titans Deaf Cricket and to South Africa Deaf Cricket. It was an honour to have you as part of our family.

The legacy you left behind will remain for generations to come.
Our deepest condolences go to Coenraad's partner, his daughter, family, friends, teammates and everyone whose life he touched.

Once a Titan, always a Titan. 💙

Rest in peace Coenraad.
