Join us on Saturday 22 August for a celebratory 𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒍 𝒓𝒖𝒏 (or walk) suitable for the whole family (even the dog).

𝑻𝒉𝒓𝒆𝒆 𝒅𝒂𝒚𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒈𝒐 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒅𝒐𝒘𝒏 to the Hazeldean Mountain Bike Race 2026. We are super excited and hope you will be joining us!

We will have 𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝟖:𝟑𝟎 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝟏𝟑:𝟎𝟎 for the event. Saturday 18 July 2026 only.
Hikers and trail runners can use " the Tree Meander" section.

Race registration will be on the day from 7:00.

We will be based on the back lawn of Hazeldean Brewing Co. where you can look forward to and 𝒆𝒙𝒄𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒗𝒊𝒃𝒆 with some 𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒎𝒖𝒔𝒊𝒄, sport related 𝒆𝒙𝒉𝒊𝒃𝒊𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒔 with great products for sale and there will even be a physio offering 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬 of between 20 and 30 minutes for only R150 - first come first served.

This is a family friendly event with safe kids play areas at both Hazeldean Brewing Co. and Pltfrm Hazeldean.

𝟏𝟎𝐤𝐦 𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐢𝐞 𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞, perfect for the kids, with prizes for all finishers under 14.
𝟐𝟓𝒌𝒎 𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒓𝒕 𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒆: for a fun ride.
𝟒𝟎𝐤𝐦 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐮𝐦 𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞: for the fitter riders.

What makes the annual Hazeldean Mountain Bike Race 2026 so special?

𝑩𝒆𝒂𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒇𝒖𝒍 𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒆𝒔 𝒅𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒈𝒏𝒆𝒅 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒅 𝒔𝒑𝒆𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒅𝒂𝒚. If you're a regular at Hazeldean Valley Trails, this experience will be quite different even for you: many of the routes will be ridden in reverse plus you'll ride on parts of the farm normally closed to the public.

Don't forget Hazeldean Valley Trails is open every day, including public holidays. Yay. Tuesday 16 June is a public holiday - 𝘣𝘰𝘯𝘶𝘴 𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘣𝘪𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘭 𝘳𝘶𝘯𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘩𝘪𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘸𝘢𝘭𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘨...

Both restaurants, Pltfrm Hazeldean and Hazeldean Brewing Co., will be open the whole day.

It is a tradition for the 𝐅𝐚𝐫𝐦 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞 to be hosted by GoSport Events every 𝟏𝟔 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 and 16 December. Choose between horse riding (if you have a horse), trail running or mountain biking. If you wish to take part here is the entry link:

New month! New kid on the block! We are so excited to have 𝗣𝗹𝘁𝗳𝗿𝗺 𝗛𝗮𝘇𝗲𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗮𝗻 open their doors to the public. Next time you are here at 𝑯𝒂𝒛𝒆𝒍𝒅𝒆𝒂𝒏 𝑽𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒚 do pop in for a drink, a bite, a chat and free wifi.

Pltfrm Hazeldean is open Mondays to Saturdays from 7am till late and Sundays from 8am till late.

Thank you to everyone for your patience while construction took place and parking was a mess... all with the end goal in mind. Now we do some finishing touches and plant even more trees... so bear with us.

Take note: that the regular Hazeldean Valley Trails routes will remain 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧 to those not taking part in the race as the race will go in the same direction of flow. Just take care to follow the coloured arrows on lintels and not the temporary race arrows.
