Beyond the Finish Line

Beyond the Finish Line Project Run-a-1000, was officially launched on the 17th of September 2019 by founder/ultra-runner/crazy-running-guy Rupert Van Vuuren from sunny South Africa.

With this project he will attempt to run 1000 consecutive marathon distances in 1000 consecutive days. After 658 days of running on average a distance of 42,2km every day, Rupert finally took a break on the 5th of July 2021! The 1000 dream continues now at a slower pace! All of this was done to raise awareness and much needed funding for the Brain- Child Fund NPO who works with families and their
