Ithumela has 9 dams. Currently there are 2 dams which are used for fishing.
Stocked with Bass, Kurper and Carp.

There is also access to the Pienaar rivier.

Six of the dams are stocked with 3500 Kurper and are being fed as they range from 5-15cm and are currently too small for catch and release.
These six dams will be awesome for fishing early 2027.

By that time the last dams will also be cleaned and be made deeper. They will then be stocked with an additional 5000 Kurper.

There is nothing as horrible as overcrowded visitors. Therefore fishing is by appointment only.

Buffelsdrift is renowned for having more than 200 bird species.
It is also a great place for mountain biking.

There is a clean flush toilet and ample wood for a Braai. More flush toilets are in the pipeline.

Ithumela is pet friendly.
