My Pregnancy Rebounding Journey | Week 18🤰🏼🩵
I'm 18 weeks pregnant, and I thought I'd share a little bit of the reality behind exercising during pregnancy.
Before pregnancy, I could jump every day. I could push myself, challenge myself and give everything in every class.
Now? Sometimes the warm-up alone leaves me out of breath.
The truth is… pregnancy is humbling.
Yes, my belly is getting in the way.
Yes, I get tired much quicker.
Yes, I have a little extra double chin these days. 😅
And no, I can't perform the way I used to.
At first, that's difficult to accept. As someone who loves fitness and has always challenged my body, it can be frustrating not being able to do what once felt so easy.
But then I remind myself…
I'm not just exercising anymore.
I'm growing a tiny human. 🤍
And that changes everything.
Staying active during pregnancy has so many incredible benefits, but one of the most important lessons I've learned is this:
Listen to your body.
Some days you'll feel amazing.
Other days your body will ask you to slow down.
And that's okay.
I'm incredibly grateful that I'm still able to instruct classes and continue doing what I love, but my goal is no longer to prove how hard I can push myself. My goal is to move safely, stay healthy, and give my baby the best environment to grow.
Pregnancy isn't about keeping up with the old version of yourself.
It's about embracing the incredible strength of the version you're becoming.
Follow along as I share the highs, the challenges, the laughs, and the reality of rebounding while growing our little miracle.
