FROM RUSTENBURG TO THE WORLD!
What an incredible weekend for our NWU Junior Swimming Club swimmers at the SA Special Olympics in Rustenburg!
And a HUGE congratulations to Tiaan Keyser!
Following the conclusion of the SA Special Olympics, Tiaan has been selected as one of only 65 athletes who will represent South Africa at the World Special Olympics in Santiago, Chile, in October 2027!
What an amazing achievement, Tiaan! Your hard work, dedication and determination have paid off, and we couldn't be prouder. We can't wait to follow you on this incredible journey!
And there were some fantastic performances from the rest of our swimmers too:
🥇 Kutlwano Dlamini smashed the 100m freestyle to claim a well deserved gold!
🥉 Lourette Seyffert took home bronze in the 400m freestyle, well done, Lourette!
A big shout-out to Aubrey James and all four swimmers for representing with such commitment and pride.
From personal bests to podium finishes and now a place on the South African World Special Olympics team, what a weekend to remember!
We are incredibly proud of you all. Keep swimming, keep believing and keep chasing those dreams!
