What an incredible evening at the NWU Junior Swimming Club AGM & Prize Giving 2026!

We celebrated the hard work, dedication and achievements of our swimmers throughout the season, while also recognising the people who make our club so special.

Welcome home, team!

We are so proud of our club swimmers who recently competed at the SA Schools Championships in Cape Town. Your hard work and dedication really showed, with many of you achieving great results and new personal bests in the pool.

You also represented our club and the North West team with pride, showing great team spirit, leadership and sportsmanship throughout the event.

A big thank you to Coach Bernard for all the support, guidance and encouragement during the championships. Your experience and leadership mean so much to our swimmers, and we are proud to have you as part of our club.

We’re happy to have everyone safely back home. Well done, swimmers — you’ve made us proud!

SA Regional Age Group Level 3 Championships

What an incredible few days of racing at the SA Regional Age Group Level 3 Championships!

The competition was tough, but our swimmers showed real grit, determination, and heart in every race.

Well done to Zandri Janse van Rensburg, Mieke Steinbach, Isabella van Breda, Willem Jacobs and Keegan Tredoux for representing with pride and giving it their all in the pool.

Exceptional results at the SASAII National Open Summer Games!

We are incredibly proud of our five swimmers who represented us at the SASAII National Open Summer Games in Mbombela from 23–27 March, and what an outstanding performance it was!

The SASAII (South African Schools Athletics for Intellectually Impaired Learners) Games promote inclusivity by creating opportunities for learners with intellectual disabilities and Down syndrome to compete at a national level. This prestigious event brings together athletes from special schools across all nine provinces, with around 1,200 participants including athletes, coaches and officials.

Our team delivered across both relay and individual events, bringing home an impressive medal haul:

A special congratulations to Lourette Seyffert, who was named the Top Female Swimmer of the meet after achieving the highest overall points — an outstanding accomplishment!

To crown it all, the North West team finished as overall winners, outperforming all other provinces. An incredible achievement and a proud moment for everyone involved!

Our swimmers recently competed at the SA National Junior Age Group Championships (21–25 March 2026) at Newton Park Pool in Gqeberha, a key national event for swimmers aged 12 & under to 16.
