A proud moment for our selected Judo team π₯Well done to you all πππππ
πΏπ¦ YOUR SOUTH AFRICAN JUDO TEAM FOR GLASGOW 2026 πΏπ¦
A Commonwealth Games selection is more than a name on a team list.
It represents the mornings that began before the rest of the world was awake. The demanding training sessions, the setbacks, the sacrifices and the countless moments when an athlete chose to continue.
It represents years of discipline carried quietly, long before the applause arrived.
Today, those years of work become part of something greater.
We are immensely proud to announce the four judoka selected to represent South Africa at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games:
π₯ Skye Knoester
π₯ Timothy Meuwsen
π₯ DonnΓ© Breytenbach
π₯ Thomas Breytenbach
Among them are the Breytenbach twins, DonnΓ© and Thomas, two athletes whose journeys have unfolded side by side and will now lead them together onto one of international sportβs greatest stages.
Each athlete brings a different story, but they travel with one shared purpose: to represent South Africa with courage, excellence and pride.
They carry more than their own ambitions.
They carry the work of their coaches, the sacrifices of their families, the support of their communities and the hopes of every young judoka who dreams of one day wearing the green and gold.
This is their moment, but it is also the beginning of the journey.
The preparation continues. The pressure rises. The Commonwealth stage awaits.
Four athletes. One team. One flag.
South Africa, meet your Glasgow 2026 Judo Team.
