Hi everyone 👋
For our HORSE riders - Just a friendly reminder:
As we approach the high-use period (peak season, public holidays & long weekends) on our beautiful beach at Sardinia Bay Beach, please note and honour the access arrangements in place — they exist for the safety of all beach-users (horses, riders, swimmers, walkers, sun-bathers, families) and to ensure we keep riding privileges in place.
📌 Beach access rules reminder:
During the peak season (15 December to 15 January) and on Easter, public holidays and long weekends, riders may only access/exit the beach via “Secrets” (this is also dependent on electrical work occurring on pipeline).
At other times (outside peak season and when not a public holiday or long weekend), access is via “See Plakkies” or Secrets (no restriction).

Please remember to ride west of the access points when on the beach.
Always show your SBHRA tag and ensure you’re complying with all rules while on the reserves and beach system.
We’re seeing higher traffic on the beach and in the dunes at this time — more walkers, more families, more dogs, more general beach-use. So we really ask all riders to exercise extra caution: walk your horse past pedestrians or dogs if needed, keep to defined routes, be courteous and visible.
Thank you for your cooperation, and let’s continue to enjoy safe, respectful rides in our shared space.
Ride safe & enjoy!
