We had lots of fun last Saturday... with a middle practice where players batted in pairs.

We had power zones set out on the field, where runs were doubled, encouraging players to score all round the field.

The stars of the day were Jayden Fleur with that bat, scoring 34* off 18 balls, and Ulrich Steynberg, who plays his cricket in Graaff Reinet, who picked up 2/11 and was the keeper for half the fielding.

Well done to all our players who made the day possible.

Super proud of Tiaan van Vuuren, who spent many years training with us at the Youth Cricket Academy and is now in the Proteas A team.

A mature personality, who took his cricket seriously from a very young age, and is now reaping the rewards.

Watching you soar to the top is fantastic. We are all very proud of you.

A commanding opening day for SA ‘A’ in the second Four-Day match, with Tiaan van Vuuren leading the charge with superb figures of 5/53 as the England Lions were dismissed for 193. 👏🔥

In reply, SA ‘A’ closed the day on 73/2, trailing by 120 runs and well placed to build a strong first-innings platform when play resumes on Day 2. 💪🏏
