SPINNNG YARNS | Pair wine and creativity with some of the most delightful personalities and you have a Yak ’n’ Yarn session in all its glory.

For two hours every month, these residents gather at the rec centre to knit, crochet or let their imaginations roam free on canvas.

What they produce is well beyond the amateur status they claim.

And, naturally, self-styling your get-togethers as 'yak' sessions, speaks volumes.

UNCHAIN YOUR ART | The bonds formed at Sardinia Bay Golf & Wildlife Estate during the pandemic are as strong today as they were back then.

As tragic and frustrating as that time was, it also brought out the best - including some hidden talents - in people.

While confined to their homes, Sards residents texted one another recipes, clothing patterns and other useful information for creative projects.

When the lockdown curtain eventually lifted, the next logical step was to meet in person to carry on what had been started virtually.

If anything, this unfortunate period made our little community even stronger.

REC, SET, GO! | At the heart of every great community is a place where its residents can meet up to spin a yarn or two.

That homely spot at Sardinia Bay Golf & Wildlife Estate's is the recreation centre - or just the "rec" as per the locals.

Here friendships blossom over a social game of tennis, next to the pool during summer or at any one of the variety of rugby and football evenings.

Add a shopping list of other interesting and arty events, including crocheting afternoons, and you have all the ingredients of a social dish called togetherness.

While residents can enjoy the rest of the estate's beauty on their lonesome, the rec is where different people come together as one.

BLOOMING LEKKER | When we say "indigenous" at Sardinia Bay Golf & Wildlife Estate, we mean local flora in its purest form.

Because it lies in a conservation area, the property must adhere to a permissible list of plants native to the area.

Even the most modest of rains cause some thicket species to flower, leading to spectacular colours on the estate year-round.

Man, dis lekker!

OH WHAT A SITE | Something remarkable is happening in the "outback".

Okay, seeing that we're living in good ol' South Africa, perhaps out at the back of Sardinia Bay Golf & Wildlife Estate is more accurate.

That is exactly where bits of coastal bush has made way for phase four of this oceanside development.

It is also the site of a completed house that proudly juts from its surroundings to peep over the most secluded portion of the 100-hectare property.

The stands in the final phase of the Gqeberha security complex have been limited to 10 and you're welcome to head on over there with one of our agents.

OFF COURSE | Would it surprise you if we told you that many people who live on golf estates are more interested in the woods than a one-wood?

For these fine souls a manicured vista - fairway or not - finds the hole every single time.

This, we suspect, is more than those who actually carry a wood in their bag can say.

So what are we on about?

Lifestyle is not measured by the birdies and eagles scored out on the course but by the chirps you wake up to in the morning.

Folks, if this is the stroke that gets you going, drop us a line and we'll gladly show you around phase four of the Sardinia Bay Golf & Lifestyle Estate.

Of course, it just so happens that your panorama from this final phase will be more forest than fairway.

LIFESTYLE INVESTMENT | Life at Sardinia Bay Golf & Wildlife Estate cannot be priced in brick-and-mortar alone.

As incoming resident Andy Dealtry notes, "Some of the investment you’re making is in lifestyle. You need to put some cash against that".

Truer words have never been spoken, we think.

Living in harmony with nature certainly doesn't come cheaply. Ask any tourist who has paid for the privilege.
