Charlo shines at the Master’s Marathon!

Our Penguins took to the streets of East London this weekend and delivered some fantastic times across the board.

A special shout‑out to Belinda Bain, who stormed home to claim 2nd place in her age category for the Marathon — what an achievement!

Well done to every runner who represented Charlo with grit, smiles, and plenty of heart. You’ve made us all proud once again!

Charlo Athletic Club – Time Trials

A big thank‑you to all our loyal Time Trial supporters! Soon the evenings will be sunny, festive, and full of energy as we approach summer.

Next Wednesday – there’s nothing on the menu, but we’ll be hosting a Bring & Braai for all members and friends right after Time Trial.

Please note: The Italian Club is a licensed establishment, so unfortunately no alcohol may be brought in. A fully stocked bar will be available for everyone to enjoy.

Pack your cooler (minus the drinks), bring your meat, and join us for a relaxed evening together. We’re looking forward to seeing you there!

Time Trials – 17h30 sharp
Spring has finally sprung - From tomorrow, time trials officially move back to the 17h30 slot. Wear your brightest spring outfit and stand a chance to win a *complimentary Beef or Chicken Burger & Chips – redeemable at time trials tomorrow evening. Everyone’s invited!

Bring your family, friends & colleagues – the more the merrier!
After your run, stick around and enjoy the vibe with fellow runners.
The bar is fully stocked– perfect for a cold refresher while you catch up with like‑minded people.

On the Menu
Get ready for a fun and tasty meal – sizzling Beef or Chicken Burgers with crispy Chips! Perfect fuel after your run, and even better when shared with friends.

Charlo Penguins flying the flag at the Despatch Superspar 10km!

The Despatch 10km brought together top athletes and community runners alike. Our Charlo team showed grit, spirit, and plenty of smiles on the route.

We also had Penguins conquering the tough Rooikat Trail!

- Ryan smashed the 20km
- Christoff powered through the 12km
- Taryn, Vicky, Chantel, Ashton & Zakiya tackled the 8km

Last night’s turnout was fantastic – runners, friends, and even a four‑legged supporter brought the energy! Let’s keep the momentum going next Wednesday. Lace up, bring a buddy, and enjoy the vibe.

Khulasande Charity Run 2026 🏃‍♂️💨
Well done to all our Charlo Athletic Club members who took part on Saturday — what a fantastic turnout and team spirit!

A special shout‑out to our Category Champion, Patric Makwenkwe, who claimed 3rd place in the 60–69 category with an impressive time of 00:43:17. 👏

We’re so glad most of our runners were safely over the finish line before that terrible wind came up — talk about perfect timing!

Proud of every Charlo runner who showed up, pushed through, and represented our club.

Charlo Time Trials

Another great evening at Time Trials — always such a joy spending time with our Charlo family each week. What a fantastic bunch of people!

A special thank you to Alan Taylor, who joined us last night. It’s always a treat listening to his many stories, he will be sorely missed by so many. We wish him safe travels and all the best in his new adventures.
