Saturday 16 May 2026 - Charlo Athletic Club presents the Heartbreak Hill 21.1km, 10km and 5km fun run.

Start & Finish: Italian Club, Harold Road, Charlo.
21.1km - 06h30 | 10km - 06h45 | 5km - 07h00

Collection of race numbers (pre-entries) will be accepted at the Italian Club on Friday 15 May 2026 from 16h30 - 19h30, and on the morning of the race from 05h00 to 06h15 for the 21.1km | 05h00 to 06h30 for the 10km | 05h00 - 06h45 for the 5km

The Italian Club will be serving their delicious wood‑fired pizzas this Friday evening. Prices range from R95 – R145.
You can order your pizza when you collect your race number! Eat there or take out.

Time Trials

As of now, time trials are still going ahead, but we’ll make a final call closer to the start time at 17h30.
For safety reasons, if we decide to cancel, the run will be declared unofficial — you’re welcome to run at your own risk.
If you choose not to run, please still pop in for a chat with your fellow runners — there’ll be an indoor fire going to keep things cosy.

The Italian Club management has decided not to do pizzas this evening.

Anytime, Anywhere, Any weather – Time Trials start at 17h30 this Wednesday for the last time this season.
From next Wednesday, the official start for time trials will be at 17h20 sharp.

Safety First – Please make sure you can be seen on the road by wearing reflective clothing or using headlamps. If you don’t have a headlamps, Joel has stock available – have a chat to him.

On the Menu – Tomorrow Evening
The Italian Club will be serving their delicious wood‑fired pizzas. Eat in or take out – come and soak up the warmth from the Pizza oven - fully stocked bar available. Assortment of Pizza's range from R95 - R145 each.

Upcoming Event – VW Road Race (Saturday)
- 21.1km & 10km start at 07h00, with staggered start times for the various categories.
- 5km starts at 07h15.
