Here are the results from last weekend...

The Youth Cricket Academy 1sy XI proved too strong for Mopani Worms, bowling them out for 86 on a tricky wicket. It was great to host Keagan Allman and his brother Allan, all the way from Komga. Keagan made things look easy as he smashed 32* off 15 and was supported by Roelof Campher who got 26* (20). Earlier Jaco Jooste was the chief destroyer with 3/3 in his two over.

It was a good day for the Youth Cricket Academy as their 2nd XI got home against the Renegades in the 5th Division... thanks mainly to the heroics of Austin Titus, who picked up 4/4 in his 2 overs and then scored 30* off just 16 balls.

Sunday was a busy day:

JBay Dolphins were too strong for the Dangerous Darkies Too, getting 181/2, with 3 batters retiring. Ruan Thomas backed up his 30* with 2/12 and was their players of the match. Dangerous Darkies Too got 132/6 with Tile getting another 30* and young Shakes getting 27*. They are breeding a solid squad to bolster their 1st XI in a most commendable fashion.

In what was to become a dark day for Dangerous Darkies, their 1st XI got off to a great start putting pressure in the Beerginners, whose middle order bailed them out thanks to Grant Swanepoel 34* and Cole Parkinson 33*. Chasing 143 to win, Beerginners' seamer, Morgan van de Merwe picked up 3/3 in the power play, and the Dangerous Darkies could not recover. Beerginners move to the top of the 1st Division with their 43 run win.

Boundary Hunters are back, and chasing another title with a resounding win against Heatherbank Cricket Club and securing their spot in the knock outs. Batting first, the Boundary Hunters got 145/7, thanks to Kyle Hahn 30* off just 12 and Terence Petrus 30* off 24. Curt Bhikha was the pick of the bowlers for the Hunters as he picked up 3/8 in his two overs to ensure a win by 66 runs.

Despatch Vets had a great 1st half of the game getting 191/5 in their 20 overs. Jacques de Vos, Hayward and Petrus Vermaak all retired. In pursuit it took the top score of the weekend, by Swanepoel of 51* and 30s from Sinalo Labise and Froggy to ensure Hensian Hookers won in the last over by 3 wickets. This was the match of the weekend and great advert for the Corporate League. Well played men.

In another high scoring game, Avengers batted 1st and raced along to another 190 score ending on 192/3. Charl Erasmus, Richard Hickman and Aruther Edwards all retiring. The Sons of Pitches managed 165/9 in pursuit with debutant John Peter getting 41* and Austin Titus 32*. Avengers got a well deverved 27 run win.

What a memorable weekend of cricket.

Weather has cleared and games about to get underway on a now lovely Saturday.

Knock out places are still up for grabs in all Divisions.... and players are hungry.... and soon to be thirsty too....

Well played Youth Cricket Academy 1st XI

Last weekend our Youth Cricket Academy 1st XI, playing in an adult league, had a stellar day.

We bolwed the opposition out for just 86... and chased it down in 10 overs to win by 8 wickets.

Well done to the youngest of our players, Roelof Campher, who opened the batting and played an elegant knock of 26* off 20 balls

Was proud to be part of that performance.
