The final whistle’s blown — seniors are locking in for exams 🎓 while the U16 boys are already grinding in the gym 💪 fueled by playlists, quotes, and pure hunger to wear that 1st XV jersey in 2026.

This time of year always brings change… 👀
Coaches step down, new faces step up, and Directors of Rugby make it clear what’s expected next season.

Meanwhile, the soon-to-be U14s are wrapping up their last weeks of primary school — some heading to high school on scholarships, others ready to prove they belong 🔥.

Once upon a time, a U13 Craven Week spot meant a scholarship. Not anymore.
These days, scouts are spotting raw talent from regional teams — players who were overlooked but never gave up. Passion > politics.

Rugby Revolution Update

Rugby Revolution took a step back during the 2025 season to focus on new ventures — and to enjoy the game again from the sidelines as supporters and parents.

It’s been a belter of a year for school rugby. Some 1st teams delivered outstanding performances, while others found themselves in rebuilding phases, laying the foundation for future success. Looking ahead, the 2026 season promises to be one of the most competitive yet in the high school arena.

On the junior front, several Primary Schools that have been showing steady promise over the past few years finally stepped up and made their mark. At the same time, a few of the traditionally dominant schools fell short of their usual high standards — a reminder that rugby never stops evolving.

So, who will emerge as the dark horses in 2026? Who will break into that elusive Top 10 in South Africa? In the build-up to next season, we’ll take a closer look at the movers and shakers of 2025, and hopefully sit down with more coaches to get their insight.

For the boys heading into high school next year — don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. We’ll be chatting to some of the country’s top school fitness coaches to give you an early edge on how to stay sharp and prepared before diving into the world of high school rugby.

The countdown to 2026 has already begun — and Rugby Revolution is ready to bring you along for the ride.

It's been a while...

With the start of the schools Rugby season only a few weeks away, let's have a look at a few festivals coming our way.

Last year we had a blast at Bergsig Skool Uitenhage Festival and this year promises to be even bigger and better.

The Build It Kariega Bergsig Festival will be taking place from 28 February to 1 March 2024.
