The reformation of the International Racing Club is all about one thing: Making syndication fun and worthy for everyone. The problem is that there is a general trust that has been broken, caused by false sellers, leaving other syndicates needing to now provide assurances for.
Some syndicates are operating in a manner where you pay a minor amount every month, and you're promised: Inside info, stakes and the experience of a lifetime.
What you end up getting is: General trainer comments, stakes that do not cover your monthly fee and an experience that makes you look for another option – or contemplate whether it's even worth being a part of syndication.
With the IRC now back, we're not shy to tell it like it is. At the time of writing, you will pay R800 + VAT (monthly) for a 5% share in a racehorse. What this gets you is exactly what it gets Joao Da Mata: A share in the stakes, stable visits, access to our suite at Hollywoodbets Greyville Racecourse, the opportunity to watch your horse run and hand-picked trainers who will let us know everything we need to know regarding our horses.
There is one major thing that we have to mention: The IRC has included an option where members will GET BACK THEIR MONEY if the horse has not earned you enough in stakes (bar the VAT).
Assuming you have paid R4000 over 5 months, and you have only received R3500 in stakes: We will give you the other R500 – this means that there is NO RISK. The only thing that you may end up losing is the R120 in VAT!
You may be asking: What's the catch?
That's precisely why the title of this write-up is negative: Due to the way some syndicates operate, established names in the business need to deal with a cautious client, trying his best to score a deal where he is NOT taken for a ride.
There is no catch with Glistian Events or the IRC. What we advertise is what you get. We want people to come to the races and enjoy it, we want all our members to walk around with their Glistian and IRC hoodies, we want a horse to win and all our members have had a bet on it – we want to have fun!
It will be Glistian (Nominee: Joao Da Mata) and International Racing Club (Nominee: Sherwin Sewlal). This is our lives, not a side hustle.
With all that said, to anyone who plans on joining a syndicate: I urge you to go to a place where the people know what they're doing. I assure you, if you think you're going to pay R500 a month for a share in 8 racehorses and get rich – It's not going to happen. You're going to end up being a person in somebody else's inbox, still looking for a worthy way to be a part of this industry.
The IRC is acquiring racehorses at the online sale next week. Speak to us. 083 788 0497.
