The Friendly Team is a collection of cricketers who have long passed their sell by date in terms of playing the game of cricket. We are, however, more passionate about the game and the festivities thereafter than ever before. We play the game as hard as possible and within the parameters set by the WPFCA. We have a squad of players, most of whom represented the CTCC 1st X1 at some stage of their c
areers. To qualify to play for the Friendly team, you need to have played for CTCC, be over 35 years of age and paid your subs (R475/annum) to the main club. We play every second week on a home and away basis. Most of our home games take place on the main Boon Wallace Oval. From time-to-time or when injuries plague the team, we will incorporate younger players in the team. This is of great benefit to the youngsters and the squad members many of whom are physically bereft (that's a generalisation of course.)
