🎾 WOW! What an awesome afternoon of tennis! 🎾

Today, the Grade 1s from Formosa Primary took part in their first-ever school tennis tournament, while Phakamasani Primary played in their second event. We also had two Plett teams join the action!

A total of 32 juniors took to the courts, and what a day it was — lots of smiles, fun matches, and memories made. 💙

This is all part of our mission to make sure every child has access to tennis, regardless of their background.

A huge thank you to Plett Country Club for sponsoring transport for the Formosa Primary players, and to all our junior players who gave back by helping umpire throughout the afternoon. 👏

This is only the beginning. Big things are coming. 🚀🎾

🎾 Junior vs Seniors Club Challenge 🎾

Our very first Junior vs Seniors Club Event was a huge success! 🙌

The day was filled with great tennis, plenty of laughs, and some fantastic match-ups as our juniors took on the adults in both singles and doubles.

One of the highlights was seeing many of our juniors partner with senior players for the first time, gaining valuable experience and confidence on court. 💪

Congratulations to the Seniors, who took home the overall victory this time! 🏆 But a massive well done to our juniors, who fought hard, picked up some impressive wins, and showed just how much they are improving.

A big thank you to all the senior players who supported the event and made it such a positive experience for our young players. We can’t wait for the next one!

🎾🏆 OTA vs South Peninsula Tennis Academy 🏆🎾

What an incredible weekend of tennis!

Our annual derby against South Peninsula Tennis Academy brought together 36 players for a fantastic weekend filled with tennis, padel, competition, and plenty of fun both on and off the court.

We are proud to share that The Olsen Tennis Academy took home:
🏆 Boys Trophy
🏆 Girls Trophy
🏆 Overall Team Trophy

After finishing runners-up last year, it was great to see our players step up and deliver an outstanding team performance.

More importantly, events like these create lifelong memories, friendships, and valuable match experience for our players. We are excited to continue giving all our players opportunities to be involved in future tours and inter-academy events.

A huge thank you to all the players, parents, coaches, supporters, and South Peninsula Tennis Academy for making the weekend such a success. We can’t wait for the next one!

The May Red & Orange Ball Event at The Olsen Tennis Academy was a huge success!

28 kids took part in an awesome morning of fun, energy, and competitive tennis. This was one of our strongest events to date, and we are incredibly proud of every player who stepped onto the court. These events are the stepping stones to building confidence, match play experience, and a lifelong love for tennis. 💪🎾

Eden Rainbow Kids Results

Seven GBC pupils took part over the long weekend, competing in events held in Kleinbrak and George. The tournaments included some of the top players from the province, with a few players traveling down from Cape Town as well.

Results were as follows:

* Jenelle Van Staden – 5th place (Girls U10)
Sebestian Peterson - 3rd place
* Caleb Gerike – 5th place
* Ethan Button – 7th place
* Sean O’Leary – 8th place
* Ayden Jansen Van Rensburg – 9th place

Term 2 started with a bang 💥🎾

Our 40Love Foundation program is in full swing, and we’ve got some exciting plans lined up this term! From our Red Ball school festival to upcoming matches between Formosa and Phaksamasani, it’s all about giving more kids the chance to play and compete 🙌

We’ve also launched our Elite Program — a selected group of players receiving private coaching at their schools. We’ve kicked things off with our first 10 players from Phaksamasani, and this is just the beginning 🔥
